Discussion & Documentation

Widower Johannes Emerdorfer settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 24 February 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 57 along with the family of his son-in-law, Johann Adam Huber.

Like the Huber family, Johannes Emerdorfer immigrated first from the German region of Baden-Durlach to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1762.

There are no known surviving male descendants of this Emerdorfer family among the Volga German colonies.
