Widow Katharina Engelbrecht and her 9-year-old son settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard on 15 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 3.

The 1767 census records that Katharina Engelbrecht came from the Swedish town of Stralnau.
