Widower Georg Ephardt, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 84 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Biberstein in 1768.

The 1767 census records that Georg Ephardt came from the German village of Mekmal [?].
