Anton Falkenstein, son of Johannes Falkenstein & Anna Christina Mayerhöffer, was baptized in February 1715 in Gundheim.

He married 10 August 1738 in Heßloch to Maria Elisabeth Betzel.

The baptisms of the following children born to Anton Falkenstein & Maria Elisabeth Betzel are recorded in the parish register of Heßloch: (1) Anton, baptized 6 September 1739, buried 5 December 1744; (2) Johannes, baptized 6 May 1742; (3) Johann Philipp, baptized 19 May 1744; (4) Johannes, baptized 22 June 1747; (5) Maria Elisabeth, baptized 9 July 1749; (6) Anna Maria, baptized 28 June 1751; and (7) Magdalena, baptized 7 January 1754.

Widow Maria Elisabeth Falkenstein née Betzel remarried on 22 July 1760 to Johannes Grosch. [See Grosch Family.]

Philipp immigrated to Russia, settling in the colony of Schuck on 18 July 1766 where he is recorded on the 1767 Census in Household No. 22 with his new bride Magdalena.

Their descendants are recorded on the 1798 Census of Schuck in Households No. Su08 & Su12.

The 1767 census records that Johann Philipp Falkenstein came from the German village of Heßloch in the Mainz region.
