Faust (Shcherbakovka)
Widow Anna Faust and her children (Maria, age 20; Johann, age 18; Jakob, age 11) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 94. A note on the 1767 census indicates that the Faust family relocated to the colony of Shcherbakovka in 1768.
Karl Faust and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dobrinka in Household No. Db62.
The death of Karl Faust in 1818 is recorded on the 1834 census of Dobrinka in Household No. 96.
Martin Faust and his family from Shcherbakovka are recorded on the 1857 census of Morgentau.
The 1767 census records that Anna Margaretha Faust came from the German village of Roth in the Isenburg region.
