Valentin Fesser, a miller (Müller), and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Volmer on 18 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 13.

The 1798 census of Schuck records Johannes Fesser from Volmer in Household No. Su22.

They 1767 census records that Valentin Fesser came from the German village of Karlstadt in the Würzburg region.
