Johann Fischer, a stonemason, his wife Anna, daughter Dorothea (age 7), and servant Johann [surname not recorded] (age 20) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Maria Sophia under the command of Skipper Johann Bauert.
Johannes Fischer, a mason (Maurer), his wife Anna Maria, and daughter Regina Dorothea (age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 39. They had settled there on 5 September 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Fischer came from the German region of Württemberg. The 1767 census records that Johannes Fischer came from the German village of Urach in the Württemberg region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Fischer family among the Volga German colonies.
