Gaurer
Ludwig Gaurer, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adam Drath.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Lauwe on 5 September 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32 along with his new wife Katharina Elisabeth.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Ludwig Gaurer was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a cooper (Böttcher).
The 1767 census records that Ludwig Gaurer came from the German village of Willmandingen in the Württemberg region.
