Johann August Gedick [sic], his wife Magdalena, and daughter Maria (age 1¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 September 1766.

Joh. August Keticke [sic] and his wife Magdalena are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann August Gedeke and his wife Anna are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Kaneau in Household No. 19.

It is not known in which colony they settled.

The 1767 census records that Johann August Gedeke came from the town of Wien (Vienna) [Austria].

There are no konwn surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
