Discussion & Documentation
Justus Gorf, a single man, settled in the Volga German colony of Rohleder on 14 June 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 48 living with the Balthasar Erler family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Gof and Erler families.
The 1767 census records that Justus Gorf came from the German town of Riga in Latvia.
