Johann Kaspar Grass, a weaver (Weber), his wife Ottilia, and sons (Johann Georg, age 20; Johann Friedrich, age 17) are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 56.
The 1767 census records that Johann Kaspar Grass came from the German village of Suhl in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).
