Paul Grauf [sic], a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Vergoldete Weintraube (The Guilded Grape) under the command of Skipper Joachim Hermann Andersen.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Semenovka on 24 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 20.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Paul Grauf [sic] came from the German region of Würzburg. The 1767 census records that Paul Grau came from the German village of Irbach [?] in the Würzburg region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Grau family among the Volga German colonies.
