Grimm (Kamenka)
Joseph Grimm, a farmer, his wife Christina, and son Karl (1-month-old) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 75 [erroneously under the surname of Grün].
Joseph Krimm and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kamenka in Household No. Km053.
Peter Krimm, son of Joseph Krimm, and his family moved from Kamenka to Degott in 1823. They are recorded on the 1834 census of Degott in Household No. 22.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Joseph Grimm came from the German region of Isenburg. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Miltenberg.
