[Widower?] Wilhelm Grossmann, a tailor, his children (Louisa, age 18; Julianna, age 10¼; Elisabeth, age 5½; Margaretha, age 3; Karl, age 1½), and his mother Eva Charlotta arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Wilhelm Grossmann, his [new] wife Katharina, and children (Louissa [sic], age 18; Juliana, age 10½; Elisabeth 5¾; Margaretha, age 3½) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that father Wilhelm Grossmann died in route.

It is not known in which colony they settled.

The 1767 census records that Wilhelm Grossmann came from the German region of Schwartzburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Grossmann family among the Volga German colonies.
