Widow Maria Grossmann, a farmer's wife, and her sons (Johann, age 18½; Christoph, age 15¼) arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 27 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Слон (Slon - Elephant in Russian) under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
Johann Heinrich Müller (age 25), a farmer, his wife Maria Margaretha (age 36), son Johann Peter (age 1), and stepsons (Johann Georg [Grossmann], age 18; Johann Christoph [Grossmann], age 14) are recorded on the 1767 census of Warenburg in Household No. 12. They had arrived in Warenburg on 12 May 1767. [See Müller Family.]

Johann Christoph Grossmann died between 1811 & 1816 because he isn't recorded on the 1834 census of Warenburg.

Peter Grossmann from Warenburg and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Lauwe in Household No. Lw26.
The death of Peter Grossmann in 1822 is recorded on the 1834 census of Lauwe in Household No. 31.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that the widow Maria Grossmann came from the German region of Nassau.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Grossmann family among the Volga German colonies.
