Gulau
Mathias Gulau, a farmer, his wife Magdalena, and children (Anna Maria Sophia, age 12; Johann Peter, age 8) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in the city of Schleswig on 4 July 1761.
They were dismissed from the Danish colonies on 1 May 1765 and joined the migration to Russia.
Mattias Gulau, his wife Magdalena, and son Jakob (age 14) are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 9.
Mattias Gulau and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm014.
Jakob Gulau, grandson of Mattias Gulau, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Basel in Household No. 96.
Heinrich Gulau from Grimm, grandson of Mattias Gulau, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Straub in Household No. 83.
The Eichhorns record that Mathias Kunau came from the German region of Baden-Durlach.
