Jakob Hager, his wife Barbara, and his sister Anna immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in the city of Schleswig on 9 May 1761. They swore allegiance to King Friedrich of Denmark on 8 August 1761.
On 8 August 1761 they are recorded on the farmstead "Drieberg" in the Danish colony of Friderichsfeld.
The parish register of Hollingstedt [Denmark] records the baptism of Hans Georg Hagers [sic], son of Jacob & Barbara Hagers [sic].
The parish register of Sieverstedt [Denmark] records the baptism of Jacob Friedrich Hager, son of Jacob & Regina Hager.
In 1764, they joined the migration to Russia and are recorded on the 1775 census of Schilling in Household No. 29.
The Eichhorns record that Jakob Hager came from the German region of Baden-Durlach.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Hager family among the Volga German colonies.
