Three Hahn families arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English barque named George under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair. They also traveled together from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs additional research.
(1) Michael Hahn, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Johann, age 18; Katharina, age 18; Jakob, age 12; Michael, age 7; Georg, age 4; Christian, age ½) arrived in Oranienbaum.
Michael Hahn, his wife Elisab., and children (Joh. Andreas, age 18; Anna Cathar., age 18; Jacob, age 12; Michael, age 7½; Georg, age 4½) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Orphan Georg Hahn (age 15), presumed son of Michael Hahn, is recorded on the 1776 Katharinenstadt Grundbuch [Land Register] in Household No. 182 along with a note that he live in the household of Samuel Kohfeld.
(2) Peter Hahn, a farmer, his wife Maria, and daughters (Johanna, age 10¼; Maria, age 6) arrived in Oranienbaum.
Peter Hahn, his wife Maria, and daughters (Anna Mari., age 11; Mar. Elisab., age 7⅛) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
It is not known in which colony Peter Hahn and his family settled.
(3) Martin Hahn, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Johann, age 20; Elisabeth, age 18; Andreas, age 12; Martin, age 6) arrived in Oranienbaum.
Martin Hahn, his wife Mar. Sibina, and children (Erdmann, age 21; Johanna, age 18; Andreas, age 13) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Households No. 75 & 76.
In 1780, Georg Hahn moved from Boisroux to Katharinenstadt. In 1797, Andreas Hahn and his family moved from Reinhard to Boisroux.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that all three of these Hahn families came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony). The 1767 census records that Martin Hahn came from the region of Dessau. The 1776 Katharinenstadt Land Register records that Georg Hahn came from the German village of Grabau in Sachsen (Saxony).
An additional Hahn family member is recorded in Katharinenstadt as well:
(4) Samuel Rothfeld (age 39), a farmer, his wife Anna Maria née Hahn (age 28), and daughter Anna Elisabeth (age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 6. They had arrived in Katharinenstadt on 27 August 1766.
Samuel Rothfeld (age 42), a farmer, his wife Anna Katharina née Hahn (age 22) [daughter of Michael above?], and daughter (Johanna Sophia Kunigunda, age 1) are recorded on the 1776 Katharinenstadt Grundbuch [Land Register] in Household No. 6 along with a note that daughter Johanna Lorija [sic] was born 22 September [year not recorded] in Katharinenstadt.
The 1776 Katharinenstadt Land Register records that Anna Katharina Rothfeld née Hahn was born in Grabau in Sachsen (Saxony).
