Johann Georg Hartmann & Anna Margaretha Strecker were married on 20 May 1766 in Roßlau.
Georg Hartmann, a farmer, his wife Anna Margaretha, and [step-]children [surname Marié] (Andreas, age 18; Margaretha, age 10; Johann, age 7; Eva, age 6; Eva Katharina, age 3] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig Mercurius under the command of Skipper Christian Heinrich Abelßen.
Georg Hartmann, his wife Anna Margaretha, and [step-]children [surname Marié] (Andreas, age 18; Eva, age 11) are recorded on the 1767 census of Sewald in Household No. 31. They had settled there on 20 August 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Hartmann came from the German Pfalz region while the 1767 census records that he came from Pischeldorf.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Hartmann family among the Volga German colonies.
