Discussion & Documentation:

Christian Hartmann, a farmer, and his wife Anna Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Christian Hartmann and his wife Joh. Maria are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christian Hartmann came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony).

There are no known surviving male lines of this Hartmann family among the Volga German colonies.
