Hauf
Samuel Gottlieb Hauf, a single weaver (Weber), settled in the Volga German colony of Kratzke on 8 May 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Merkel in 1768.
The death of Samuel Hauf in 1832 is recorded on the 1834 census of Merkel in Household No. 48.
In 1827, Johann Martin Hauf moved from Merkel to Kratzke. Johann Martin Hauf from Merkel is recorded on the 1834 census of Kratzke in Household No. 50.
The 1767 census records that Samuel Gottlieb Hauf came from the German village of Ero [?] in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).
