Discussion & Documentation

Friedrich Heidemann, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Sabina, and his stepson Jakob [Dieterle] settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 29 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.

The 1767 census records that Friedrich Heidemann came from the German village of Fledang in the Mecklenburg region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Heidemann family among the Volga German colonies.
