Adam Heil, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and son Johann (age 16½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Joh. Adam Heil, his wife Catharina, and son Johannes (age 18) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johannes Heil, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and son Johann (age 18) are recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits appended to the 1767 census along with a note that they settled in the Volga German colony of Luzern in 1768.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Adam Heil came from the German region of Nassau. The 1767 census records that Johannes Heil came from the German village of Merzhausen [?].
