Michael Helbach from Dietel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Holstein in Household No. Ho20.

Michael Helbach and his son Johann Gottlieb are recorded on the 1834 census of Holstein in Household No. 40 along with a note that Michael died in 1820 and Johann Gottlieb died in 1821.

There are no surviving male lines of this Helbach family among the Volga German colonies.
