Discussion & Documentation

Balzer Heninger, a farmer, and his wife Anna Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Bauer on 20 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 37 along with Anna Maria's son, Jakob Kohlmer (age 6 months).

The 1767 census records that Balzer Heninger came from the German village of Michelstadt in the Kurpfalz.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
