Bauer
Bauer was founded on 20 July 1766 by colonists who had been recruited by Baron de Boffe from the German regions of Hamburg, Darmstadt, Swabia, Saxony, and Leiningen. By edict dated 26 February 1768, the colony received its official Russian name of Karamyshevka. According to Christian August Tornow, the colony was called Eidenmüller during the first couple of years after it was founded.
Today, what remains of the former colony of Bauer is known by the name of Karamyshevka.
Bauer was founded as a Lutheran colony. There was a church building located in the colony, but nothing remains of it today.
