Discussion & Documentation

Peter Hensel, a farmer, and his wife Anna Sophia settled in the Volga German colony of Dinkel on 27 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32.

The 1767 census records that Peter Hensel came from the village of Kabbel [Kappeln?] in Denmark.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Hensel family among the Volga German colonies.
