Johann Adam Hieronymus was born 20 September 1711 in Lorsbach, Limburg, Hessen.
Widower Adam Hieronymus arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Der Junge Heinrich under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann along with his two daughters: Margaretha (age 21) and Dorothea (age 11). On this same ship were widow Katharina Hieronymus and her two children: Elisabeth (age 13) and Johann (age 11).
Widow Katharina Margaretha re-married to Conrad Gerklotz and along with the children from both families settled in the Volga German colony of Straub on 12 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 37.
Johann Heinrich moved to Warenburg where he died on 1 December 1831.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that both Adam Hieronymus and widow Katharina Margaretha Hieronymus came from the German region of Darmstadt.
