Heinrich Hermann, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Börse von Lübeck under the command of Skipper Martin Friedrich Markau.
Johann Heinrich Hermann, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Tarlyk on 13 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 10.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Heinrich Hermann came from the German region of Holstein. The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Hermann came from the German village of Gorsenbrun [?] in the Holstein region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Hermann family among the Volga German colonies.
