Widow Margaretha Heuser, a farmer's wife, and her children (Johann Georg, age 16; Dorothea, age 5) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna (The New Fortune) under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.
Johann Georg Heuser (age 16) settled in the Volga German colony of Jost on 5 July 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 26 along with his stepfather Johann Friedrich Hauck.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that the widow Margaretha Heuser came from Lichtenstein. The 1767 census does not record from where Johann Georg Heuser came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Heuser family among the Volga German colonies.
