Hildmann (Ober-Monjou)
Johann[es] Hildmann, a farmer, his wife Anna, and son Johann (age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
He is believed to be recorded on the list of Beauregard Recruits that accompanies the 1767 census in Household No. 98 [where he is recorded as cook (Koch)] along with a new wife, Katharina. They settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou.
In 1784, Johannes Hildmann and his family moved from Ober-Monjou to Rohleder.
In 1786, Johannes Hildmann and his family moved from Rohleder to Mariental.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann[es] Hildermann came from the German region of Mainz.
