Johann Philipp [Hirschfeld] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard a ship named Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg along with his brother-in-law of Johann Joseph Kelbermater [sic]. [See Kalbermater Family.]
He settled in the Volga German colony of Pfeifer on 20 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 54 along with his brother-in-law Joseph Kelbermater.
Peter Hirschfeld from Pfeifer and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Josefstal in Household No. 73.
