Johann Philipp Hirschfeld, brother-in-law of Johann Joseph Kelbermater, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Pfeifer on 20 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 54 along with his brother-in-law Joseph Kelbermater.

Peter Hirschfeld from Pfeifer and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Josefstal in Household No. 73.
