Hartmann Holtzmann & Friederique Schultze were married on 22 June 1766 in Roßlau.
Hartmann Holzmann, a farmer, his wife Friederika, and daughter Maria (age 2½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Adler (Eagle) under the command of Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Tarlyk on 19 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 62.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Hartmann Holzmann was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a blacksmith (Schmied).
