Jensen (Stahl am Tarlyk-2)*
Jochim Diederich Jonsen [sic], son of Matthias Jonsen & Margaretha Wieber, was baptized on 12 June 1766 in St. Peter Lutheran Church in Lübeck.
Matthias Jensen, a farmer, his wife Margaretha, and son Joachim Dietrich (age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the Danish galliot Der Engel Rafael under the command of Skipper Ehlert Kongsted.
Mattias Jensen, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 9. They had settled there on 13 August 1767.
The 1767 census records that Matthias Jensen came from the German village of Welt in the Holstein region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Jensen family among the Volga German colonies.
