Johann Georg Just, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the pink Lev under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 4.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann Georg Just came from the German region of Darmstadt.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Just family among the Volga German colonies.
