According to a researcher who posted to wolgadeutsche.net, Andreas Justus, son of Andreas Justus (d. 8 August 1773) & Anna Catharina Schomber (24 August 1687 - 25 January 1759), was born 6 May 1725 in Kesselbach. He married in Londorf on 21 September 1747 to Anna Elisabetha Faulstich. She had been born in Kesselbach on 7 November 1727. They had the following children, each born in Kesselbach: (1) Johann Heinrich, born 17 May 1748; (2) Helena, born 19 May 1752; (3) Andreas, born 7 November 1755; and (4) Johann Balthasar born 9 May 1759.
Andreas Justus, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and their children (Johann, age 18; Katharina, age 16½; Andreas, age 15; Balthasar, age 10; and newborn Maria) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the pink Lev under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Fischer on 28 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 33.
In 1793, Gottfried Justus moved from Fischer to Paulskaya.
In 1796, Johann Christoph Justus moved from Fischer to Stahl am Karaman.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Justus came from the German district of Kisi [probably referring to Gießen] in the Darmstadt region.
