Johann Heinrich Köhler, son of Christian & Susanna Köhler from Calbach, was baptized in Büdingen on 20 May 1742. Johann Heinrich married Catharina Emrich, daughter of Conrad Emrich from Bleichenbach, on 29 May 1766 in Büdingen.

Johann Heinrich Köhler & Catharina Emrich had two children who were born in Calbach and baptized in Büdingen: (1) Anna Catharina, born 23 October 1767, baptized 25 October 1767; and (2) Johann Georg, born 3 January 1771, baptized 6 January 1771.

Johann Heinrich Keller, his wife Anna Katharina Emrich, and children (Anna Katharina, age 4; Johann Georg, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 2 July 1772 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Hartwig.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Pobochnaya on 4 July 1773.

They are recorded on a 1773 list of Pobochnaya settlers (No. 26).

Heinrich Köhler, his wife Katharina, and their children (Katharina, age 7½; Johann Georg, age 4½) are recorded on the 1775 census of Schilling in Household No. 7.

Johann Georg Köhler relocated from Schilling to Bangert in 1801. Johann Georg Köhler and his son are recorded on the 1811 census of Bangert in Household No. 18.

The death of Johann Georg Köhler in 1823 is recorded on the 1834 census of Bangert in Household No. 3.
