Johann Kaspar Köhler, a farmer, his wife Barbara, and children (Johann, age 9; Christian, age 7; Johann, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder.

Johann Casper Keller [sic], his wife Barbara, and sons (Johann Casper, age 9; Christian, age 7; Johann Jost, age 2) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Johann Jost died en route.

Kaspar Köhler, a carpenter (Tischler), his wife Barbara, and sons (Kaspar, age 10; Christian, age 7) are recorded on list of Beauregard recruits (Household No. 30) appended to the 1767 census of the Volga German colonies. It is not known in which colony they settled.

The 1767 census records that Kaspar Köhler came from the German village of Altheim.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Köhler family among the Volga German colonies.
