Kaiser (Warenburg)
Johann Dietrich Kaiser, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Anna Barbara, and children (Jakob Friedrich, age 10; Klara Margaretha, age 6; Johann, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum aboard the galliot Der Jan under the command of Skipper Markus Dragun.
Johann Diedrich Kayser [sic], his wife Anna Barbara, and children (Joh. Jacob Fridrich, age 12; Clara Magdalena, age 7; Johannes, age 2) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 166.
In 1798, Johann Dietrich Kaiser moved from Warenburg to Laub.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Dietrich Kaiser came from the German region of Pfalz. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Harstein in the Kurpfalz region.
