Martin Kamlowski, a member of the petty bourgeois (Kleinbürger), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Husaren on 13 June 1765. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 8 along with his wife Katharina.

The 1767 census records that Martin Kamlowski came from the Polish village of Witebsk.
