Discussion & Documentation

Friedrich Käsner and his wife Christina settled in the Volga German colony of Lauwe on 5 September 1767. Christina is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 58 along with a note that Friedrich had died on 25 September 1767.

The 1767 census records that Christina Käsner came from the German village of Schkopau.

There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this Käsner family among the Volga German colonies.
