Stephan Kesselring, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Stephan Kesselring is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
The 1767 census records Stephan Kesselring, a single man, on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 58.
Widower Stephan Kessler [surname recorded as Kesselring on the 1798 census of agriculture] is recorded on the 1798 census of Hummel in Household No. Hm03.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Stephan Kesselring was a farmer from the German region of Suhl. The 1767 census records that he was a sattle maker (Sattler) from the German village of Zoren [?].
There are no known surviving male lines of this Kesselring family among the Volga German colonies.
