Hans Adam Kimmel, a farmer, his wife Anna Barbara, and his children (Maria Margaretha, age 15; Maria Malene, age 13; Katarina, age 10; Anna Barbara, age 7) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Fridericia on 15 May 1760.

They are last recorded in the Danish colonies on 31 December 1764.

They joined the migration to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Rohleder on 14 June 1766. Hans Adam Kümmel, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and son Johann Jakob (age 4) are recorded on the 1767 census of Rohleder in Household No. 36.

In 1788, widow Anna Maria and her sons moved from Rohleder to Schulz.

Anna Maria née Zimmermann, widow of Georg [sic] Kimmel from Rohleder, and her sons ([a] Kaspar, age 25; [b] Balthasar, age 20) are recorded on the 1798 census of Schulz in Household No. Sz18.

[a] Kaspar Kimmel and his sons are recorded on the 1811 census of Schulz in Household No. 18 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Louis in 1805.

[b] The death of Balthasar Kimmel in 1810 is recorded on the 1811 census of Schulz in Household No. 18.

The 1767 census records that Hans Adam Kimmel came from the German region of Fulda and his wife Anna Maria came from the German region of Würzburg. The Eichhorns record that he came the German region of Kurpfalz.
