Johann Klaus, a farmer, his wife Anna Christina (age 29), children (Katharina Elisabeth, age 12; Johann Heinrich, age ¼), and mother-in-law Anna Katharina [surname not recorded] (age 50) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dobrinka in Household No. 81. They had arrived in Dobrinka on 20 June 1767.
The 1767 census records that Johann Klaus came from the German village of Stangos [?] in the Riedes [Riedesel?] region.
