The parish register of St. Martin's Church in Orb records the baptism of Margaretha Kleespies, the illegitimate daughter of Anna Maria Kleespies, on 2 May 1757.
Anna Maria Kleespies married at St. Martin's Church in Orb on 3 July 1763 to Johannes Adam Basser.
Adam Basser, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.
It is believed that this same Anna Maria Kleispies [sic] is recorded on the 1798 census of Zug in Household No. Zg31, as the wife of Johann Jakob Weisbecker who had also come from the German village of Orb.
The above referenced illegitimate daughter Margaretha Kleespies does not appear on the Oranienbaum passenger list, but is recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits attached to the 1767 census in Household No. 53.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
