Orphan Johann Friedrich Knippel (age 15) is recorded on the 1775 cenus of Grimm in Household No. 83 along with the Nikolaus Kenzler family. The 1775 census does not record a relationship between the Knippel and Kenzler families.
There are no known continuing male lines of this Knippel family among the Volga German colonies.
