Korn (Wittmann)
Johann Korn, his wife Maria, and son Sebastian (age 4¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 September 1766.
Johann Korn, his wife Maria Catharina, and son Sebastian (age 4¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Sebastian died en route.
Johannes Korn, a farmer, and his wife Maria are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Kaneau in Household No. 33.
They eventually settled in the Volga German colony of Wittmann where Maria is recorded on the 1798 census in Household No. Wm31.
In 1795, Johann Korn moved from Wittmann to Katharinenstadt.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Korn came from the German village of Kisischheim [?].
