Gottfried Kreg [sic], a farmer, his wife Anna, and son Johann (age 20) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a ship named Die Zwei Gebrüder (The Two Brothers) under the command of Skipper Nicolaus Peter Pinck.
Gottfried Krehe and his son Christian (age 20) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
It is not known in which colony they settled.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Gottfried Kreg [sic] came from the German region of Dessau.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Krehe family among the Volga German colonies.
