Christoph Krieger, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Merkel on 28 August 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 15.
The 1767 census records that Christopher Krieger came from Berlin in Preußen (Prussia).
There are no known surviving male descendants of this Krieger family among the Volga German colonies.
