Guillaume Kriung was born about 1792 in a French "place" called Neviaka [sic].
He was a soldier in the 1st Grenadier Regiment of Napoleon's Army. He fought against the Russians and was captured.
Milovidov records that as of 1814 his father, mother, two brothers, and a sister were still living in the "locality" of Neviaka.
It is not known in which Volga German colony he was settled.
Milovidov records that Guillaume [Wilhelm] Kriung came from a place called Neviaka in France.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Kriung family among the Volga German colonies.
